Thanks to all who have been coming out to the Bitter End residency. We have had two great nights so far. Lots of new faces and plenty of regulars. The fog was so thick backstage last night we forgot whose show it was. Thanks to CJ Vinson for opening and then hanging out for the night. Good times.

Here's some words written about us by Dan Alleva. Dan came by Loho Studios when we were there recording. He drank most of our beer and passed out on the couch in the control room. What a great guy.

Hello all. LJ has been in the studio with engineer/co-producer/friend John Siket. We were the last session at Loho Studios in downtown NYC. It will be missed. Our friend Michael was there to take some pictures, one of which is below, more to come. Stay tuned for some rough mixes of new songs that we are working on now.

We'd like to thank Marc Ford (formerly of the Black Crowes and now solo) for sitting in with us on Saturday night. Our friend Scott took these pics.

Well, it finally happened. The universe collapsed on itself. Leroy Justice sat in with Leroy Justice Saturday night in Myrtle Beach, SC. That's right. Sounds impossible, but it happened. That's because Leroy Justice the band is named after Leroy Justice the man, and on the very last tourdate of the Revolution's Son 2007 Spring Extravaganza Uber-Tour, the band was reassured they chose their name wisely. Leroy Justice, whom you can easily befriend on his Myspace page, plays a wicked guitar, and knows a few songs to say the least. He got up and played "Before You Accuse Me" and a few others with us, and the band played on. His sons Stoney and Adam sat in as well, making our last night on tour a real party, and we thank the Myrtle Beach crew for yet another memorable night.

And so, the 5 boys, now men, of Leroy Justice, drove back to their home in New York City to bring the southern cultures they have learned to the people of the north. Chicken-drop bingo at the Bitter End, roman candle displays on 8th avenue, hell, we might even open a Waffle House in the East Village, you never know.

Thanks to all friends, fans, and family who helped us on the road with floors to crash on, hot meals, and support at all of our shows. We can't wait to come back, only in a nicer van.

Peace,
Leroy Justice

Oh, one last good installment of hazing. We got Brendan involved like some of you asked. Special thanks to the inventors of "pillow face." You know who you are.

You ever have one of those nights where reality slips away and you feel like a character in a movie? Well, last night Leroy Justice was the main character in an epic tale of the south called "Hillbilly Justice."

Opening scene: We walked into Parker's Place in St. Joe, TN about 5 o'clock on a sun-baked, dusty afternoon. When our eyes adjusted to the dark interior, we realized time had stood still and the 20 or so patrons were staring at us. The silence was broken by a sweet bartender, Miss Kayleen, as she exclaimed, "Leeeeroy Justice!" I reckon she could've recognized us from a mile away.

From that point on, we were all honorary southerners for the night. Mitch of Hillbilly Deluxe was the ringmaster, hooking us up with free beer all night long, and making sure we were ready to throw down. He requested we play "Revolution's Son" for our soundcheck, and we delivered.

Just before our show, there was a quick round of Cajun Bingo. Now, for y'all that live up north, let us southerners explain what that is. Otherwise known as chicken-drop bingo, each person purchases a number from 1-100, and a plastic board with those numbers on a grid, like a bingo card, is set down on the floor. The board is surrounded by a mesh fence. Why, you ask? Well, that's so the chicken stays on the board until it shits. That's right, if that bird craps on your number, BINGO.

LJ didn't win Cajun Bingo, but we were rewarded in another way. After our set, the boys of Leroy Justice were sat down on 5 stools in front of the stage to judge a wet t-shirt contest. Now, granted, the t-shirts were never wet, but they were of the thin white variety, so, needless to say, choosing a winner wasn't easy. After a couple flashing disqualifications, Jessica took $50 for first place, after which we found out she won the last one as well. She's on a winning streak I guess. Congratulations to all the contestants.

Hillbilly Deluxe took the stage with a thundering roar of southern rock, and we hit the dance floor. All through the night we jumped on and off stage to sit in on classics like Simple Man and Johnny B. Goode, and we closed out the set with a king-sized Freebird. The last round of Cajun Bingo began, and they brought out the last constipated chicken, aptly named Leroy (no lie), and he crapped on a number that wasn't ours. When we lost, another consolation topped off our night. Uncle Jesse emerged with a clear jar full of "ice water." I don't think any of us ever tasted moonshine before, so it was our final initiation into becoming truly southern. Fade to black. The End. Roll credits.

A very sincere thanks to everyone in Hillbilly Deluxe for showing us the time of our lives, and all the staff and patrons of Parker's Place in St. Joe, TN for making us feel right at home. We'll be back.

Birmingham to Huntsville was a short drive in the middle of the night, but we finally made it to IHOP in Huntsville, AL where we met up with our new best friend Nicole who was kind enough to let us crash at her house. Josh cooked us french toast with berry compote in the morning, and Nicole's son Julius was pleased. Although he called the compote "acid" and refused to touch it. He also loves Johnny Cash and accused Josh of having lice and getting it all over the house. Great kid.

Got outta H-Ville and headed to Bowling Green, KY for possibly our best gig memory in recent days. After an hour of football in the parking lot and 8-ball across the street at a poolhall that looked like a scene out of The Color of Money, the dudes at the venue show up. They tell us the second band isn't showing up. We have to play til 2am. We probably won't make much money. We have a morning news show in Memphis at 8am, 4 hours away. We have a band meeting. We sneak into the van. We pull away quickly. We honk on the way out of town. High fives all around.

5 miles down the highway, we are getting gas. A man approaches the van and says, "Did you guys ditch that gig back there??" Uh oh. Turns out he's in a band called Secret Gossip, and they were standing outside the bar when we fled. They're supposed to play there next week, and mistakenly showed up tonight. We suggest they go play tonight cuz we ain't going back. They say nooo way. High fives all around.

Newschannel 3 in the mooooourning.... Dick Hurtz on sports. We are live at 9 on a CBS local morning show, and it's 930am. Rock n roll in the morning. Marybeth, the host, exclaims how she no longer needs a Starbucks to wake her up. Don't know if that's good or bad, but we rocked the news. Check it out at their website.

Went on to play the New Daisy on Beale Street with Blind Gator. Huge stage, huge sound. Thanks to the guys for having us. Couldn't find a hotel for the life of us. Crashed a Super 8. Josh slept in the van, and woke up at about 6am sweating his nuts off. I think he's about 10 lbs lighter.
